Description

This is a high power (120W) universal switching-mode power supply for laptops and LCD monitors that require a higher wattage. It is a great replacement for a lost or broken laptop charger.  It is also much cheaper than many manufacturers' replacement laptop chargers. 

This high power 120W AC/DC adapter includes 1 USB charging port which can be used to charge your pda, mobile phones, mp3 player etc.  It comes with a set of 8 interchangeable tips that should fit most laptop models from a wide range of manufacturers including Acer, AMS Tech, Averatec, Compaq, Dell, Fujitsu, Gateway, HP, IBM, NEC, Panasonic, Sharp, Sony, Sotec, Toshiba, Winbook, Hitachi, Asus, Medion etc and 100's of others.

How do I know this charger is suitable for my laptop ?

There are 3 main things you will need to check.

1) The voltage requirement of your laptop. 

The voltage requirement should be shown on the sticker label normally found at the back of the original charger. Once you know the voltage requirement, simply select the appropriate voltage level on the universal adaptor and the voltage level will be highlighted by LED.  Our charger supports the following voltage 12/15/16/18/19/20V.  If you find that the voltage you require falls between that supported by our adapter e.g. 18.5V, then selecting the lower voltage will still normally work.

2) The wattage requirement of your laptop.

Normally this information is available on the sticker label of the original laptop charger e.g. 65W.  As long as the wattage is less than or equal to 120W, then this is fine.  If this information is not available, it is easy to work it out. In addition to the voltage information, you will need to know the current requirement of your laptop which should be available on the same sticker label. Multiply the Voltage and Current to get the Wattage e.g. original laptop rated 19V and 3.5A, hence wattage = 19V x 3.5A = 66.5W

3) The tip that fits your laptop

This product comes with a set of 8 interchangeable tips (Tip A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H) that should cover most of the laptop models in the market today. 

These plug into the comprehensive laptop power adapter DC power out lead and automatically configures the laptop power adapter for the laptop/notebook in question. To use your comprehensive laptop adapter with a different laptop just change the tip

We also supply specialised tips e.g. DELL and HP tips with built-in chip which will get round the issue of some DELL and HP laptops not recognising 3rd party chargers and hence not able to charge the battery.  If you require these specialised tips or tips not covered in the set of 8 included with this product, then you can purchase tips separately here.
